The Telphi Mobile App transforms your smartphone into a powerful business communication tool. Make and receive calls using your business number, access voicemail, manage contacts, and stay connected on the go. This guide will walk you through downloading, installing, and configuring the mobile app for optimal performance.
Ensure you have your Telphi account credentials (username and password) ready. If you don't have an account yet, contact your system administrator or our sales team to get started.
Check that your device meets the minimum requirements for the Telphi Mobile App:
For optimal call quality, ensure you have: WiFi (recommended) or 4G/5G cellular data with at least 100 kbps per call. Calls over 3G may experience reduced quality.
Follow these steps to install the Telphi Mobile App on your iPhone or iPad:
Tap the App Store icon on your iOS device's home screen.
In the search tab, type "Telphi Business" or "Telphi VoIP" and tap search.
Verify the App:
Tap the GET or cloud download icon, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
When prompted, allow the following permissions:
The Telphi app icon should now appear on your home screen. Tap it to launch the app and proceed to initial configuration.
Follow these steps to install the Telphi Mobile App on your Android device:
Tap the Play Store icon in your app drawer or home screen.
Search for "Telphi Business" and verify it's the official app from Telphi Consulting LLC.
Security Check:
Tap Install. The app will show required permissions before installation.
Note: Download may take 1-3 minutes depending on your connection speed. Ensure you have stable WiFi or cellular data.
Android will request permissions on first use. Grant the following:
Make and manage phone calls
Incoming call alerts and messages
Sync and display contact names
Tap Open from the Play Store or find the Telphi icon in your app drawer. You're ready for the initial setup!
Once installed, configure your account to start making and receiving calls:
After signing in, review and adjust these settings:
Set the name that appears when you call others
Settings → Account → Display NameSet or change your voicemail access PIN
Settings → Voicemail → Change PINConfigure default calling behavior and routing
Settings → Calls → PreferencesPush notifications allow you to receive incoming calls even when the app is closed, crucial for battery efficiency and reliability.
Without push notifications, the app must maintain a constant connection, draining battery. Push notifications wake the app only when needed.
Tip: Enable "Critical Alerts" for emergency notifications that bypass Do Not Disturb.
